The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Preparing Communities for Potential Spread of COVID-19 action plan recognizes leveraging telehealth tools to direct people to the right level of healthcare for their medical needs should be part of first responders’, healthcare providers’, and health systems’ response to this global outbreak.
American Well is in tight coordination with ecosystem partners and public health officials on best practices, referral management protocols, as well as community outreach and engagement specific to the COVID-19 outbreak. American Well has established a Telehealth Response Program to support the use of telehealth as an initial COVID-19 screening tool, which includes:
